We install Christmas lights, free, for families and organizations in Knoxville and East Tennessee who are going through something hard. No cost, no invoice, no catch — and we come back in January and take them down.

Lights do not fix anything. That is not what they are for.
They do not pay a medical bill. They do not shorten a hospital stay. They do not give a child back the year they lost. Anyone who tells you a decoration solves a hard season is selling something.
What they do is smaller and stranger. Someone comes around a corner at dusk, tired, carrying whatever they are carrying, and for two or three seconds the thing in front of them is just beautiful. Their face changes. Then the situation comes back.
We think those few seconds are worth a ladder and an afternoon. And we already own the ladders.

Isaiah 117 House — six county homes

The home a child walks into on the worst day of their life should not look like an office. Isaiah 117 House runs a home in each county it serves, and we light all six of theirs across East Tennessee. This is the project Lights For Love was built around, and it comes first every year before anything else goes on the calendar.

What the install covers
- Full gutter line in warm white at every home, across the whole front of the building
- Wrapped porch posts and a wreath at the entry, so the door reads as a home rather than an intake desk
- Timers set so the lights are already on at dusk, when most arrivals happen
- Full take-down in January at no cost
How a request actually goes
Four steps, and one honest caveat.

You tell us about it
A short form. Who it is for, roughly where, and what is going on. You do not need to prove anything to us or write a hardship essay.

We read every one
A real person reads it. We weigh what we can actually reach, what the property needs, and how much of the season is left.
- 03
You get a straight answer
Yes or no, and if it is no we will say so rather than leaving you waiting through December. We cannot take every project.

We show up and light it
Warm-white gutter lines, and often a wrapped post and a wreath at the door. Product, ladders, clips, timers and labor are all ours — nothing is billed to you. In January we come back and take it all down.
The caveat: we cannot take every project. There are more requests than there are December weekends, and some properties are out of reach for us. We review every single request and do our genuine best on each one — but a request is not a guarantee, and we would rather say that up front than let you plan around a maybe. Requests close at Thanksgiving Day and we install through December 15.
Who does the work
It starts with one crew.
Every install is donated labor and donated product. The more lighting companies join, the more of the calendar we can actually fill.

You do not have to be the one going through it, and you do not have to tell them you asked. Most of the best installs we have done started with somebody else quietly filling out the form.
