Request Lights
Tell us who could use a good week.
For yourself, for your organization, or for someone who would never ask on their own behalf. It costs nothing, and you do not have to prove anything to us.
Request an install
About two minutes. Everything except your name and how to reach you is optional — answer what you are comfortable answering.
Questions people actually ask
- Does it really cost nothing?
- Yes. There is no install fee, no product cost, no deposit and no materials charge. We also take the lights down in January at no cost. Nobody is ever invoiced for a Lights For Love install.
- Do I have to prove that I need it?
- No. We do not ask for income documents, letters, or a written account of your hardship. Tell us what is going on in your own words and in as much or as little detail as you want.
- Can I request lights for someone else?
- Yes, and a lot of our best installs started that way. You do not have to tell them you asked. If we take the project we will work out with you how to approach them.
- What kind of lights do you actually install?
- Gutter lines, mostly — a clean warm-white run along the roofline, which is the thing you see from the street. We will sometimes wrap porch posts and hang a wreath at the entry as well. We do not do trees, and we do not do inflatables or ground displays.
- What if I rent, or live in an apartment?
- Ask anyway. Renters need permission from whoever owns the building, and some apartment buildings are simply out of reach for a ladder crew, but we would rather look at it than have you rule yourself out.
- Will you put my story on the website?
- Only if you say yes. We never publish a name, photo or story without asking first, and no is a complete answer. Many of our installs have never appeared anywhere.
- What happens if you cannot take my request?
- We will tell you, and we will tell you early enough that you can plan around it. We would rather give you a clear no in October than leave you hoping through December.
Something we did not cover? Ask us directly — you do not have to submit a request to ask a question.
