What we do with what you tell us.
Short version: we use it to answer you and to plan an install, and nothing else. People tell us private things on the request form and we treat that seriously.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, how to reach you, your town, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. We do not require documentation, and we do not ask for financial records, social security numbers or anything similar. If a form asks for something you do not want to share, leave it blank — every field marked optional really is.
What we do with it
- Answer you.
- Decide whether we can take the project on, and plan it if we can.
- Share the address and scope with the installing crew for that specific job — never the personal circumstances behind it unless you have said we can.
We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
Stories and photographs
We never publish a name, a photograph, or a household's story without asking that household first and getting a clear yes. No is a complete answer and it does not affect whether we do your install. Plenty of the work we have done has never appeared anywhere and never will.
How the forms work technically
Form submissions are delivered to us by Web3Forms, a third-party form-to-email service. Your submission passes through their systems on the way to our inbox and is subject to their handling as well as ours. The site itself sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking scripts.
How long we keep it
Requests stay in our email so we can keep track of the season and follow up the next year if you asked us to. If you would like your information deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
Children
Some of our projects involve organizations that care for children. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Requests concerning a child should come from the adult or organization responsible for them.
