Current Projects

What we are lighting this season.

The committed work, and the part of the calendar that is still open. We keep this page current rather than leaving last year's list up.

Isaiah 117 House — six county homes

    For
Children in state custody waiting for a foster placement
    Where
    Six East Tennessee counties

The home a child walks into on the worst day of their life should not look like an office. Isaiah 117 House runs a home in each county it serves, and we light all six of theirs across East Tennessee. This is the project Lights For Love was built around, and it comes first every year before anything else goes on the calendar.

    6 homes, 6 counties

    • Blount County
    • Knox County
    • Sevier County
    • Cocke County
    • Hamblen County
    • Jefferson County

    What the install covers

    • Full gutter line in warm white at every home, across the whole front of the building
    • Wrapped porch posts and a wreath at the entry, so the door reads as a home rather than an intake desk
    • Timers set so the lights are already on at dusk, when most arrivals happen
    • Full take-down in January at no cost
  2. Reviewing requests2026 season

    Open slots for this season

    For
Families and organizations who have asked, or have not asked yet
    Where
    Knoxville and East Tennessee

Every year we hold back part of the schedule for requests that come in during the fall. Some are families in the middle of a medical fight, some are group homes, some are neighbors somebody else nominated without telling them. This is the part of the calendar that is still open.

    How these are handled

    • Requests reviewed in the order they arrive
    • Priority to households facing illness, loss, or a placement of children
    • Every request gets a real answer, yes or no
    • Requests close at Thanksgiving; we install through December 15
